FR is like the wife I never had.
Wait, I actually do have a wife, so maybe it's like a wife that I pay attention to.
Yeah, that's it.

Ditto what she said.
Especially the comfort part. As some Freepers know, the last couple of years have been very tough on me and my family. FR has been a wonderful source of prayer, information, humor..... I could go on and on.

Thats funny....
I'm teaching my 13 year old not to believe whats on the MSM news with examples of how they don't tell the whole story or exaggerate.
Ironically, we were just relaxing in the living room tonight listening to Harry Potter Goblet of Fire on tape and were at the part with the newspaper reporter "Rita Skeeter", who always reports an entirely different story from the truth. I just looked at my son and said "Remember what I told you about reporters on the TV? This is just how they do it." Talk about a great (if only fictional) example.
(I'm still smiling about this one.)

I was actually just reading that exact part on the train this morning!! Funny!
When we were living in Belgium for 3 months in the summer of 2002, my then almost 6 year old, after 3 or 4 weeks of CNN international turned to me and said, "Mom...why do they hate President Bush so much?"
And I thought wow...if a 6 year old can figure it out, how can my 61 year old liberal father insist there is no bias in the MSM...

OK, now we're talking twilight zone....
As for the parent... don't know what to tell you... I used to be a liberal until my common sense and logic took over. (Rush helped too.)

Me too..I did my walk on the darkside in college...but wised up quickly. Rush certainly gave me things to think about...and once the internet entered the picture, along with Fox, and the MSM no longer had a stranglehold on information and I was presented with access to info, debate etc....whoa...veer far right....
