AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1696) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | September 12, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 09/12/2005 4:22:45 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Louisiana is preparing for an epic legal struggle as tens of thousands of homeowners there will soon discover their insurance policies won't cover rebuilding as floods are not covered. Moreover, Federal flood insurance only covers losses up to $250,000.

Otherwise, recovery from KATRINA continues.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good morning! I have a technical question that if anyone can answer, I sure would appreciate it.

I am on AOL. Last week my daughter came and used the computer and changed the font size in "preferences." Because she did this, my font on my e-mail and on the reply box when I type in posts on Free Republic is the smallest possible. It is very difficult to read. (In case some of you were wondering about my weird spelling errors lately, this is why. I can't even read the Spell Check corrections very well.) My husband had to have me put on my magnifying reading glasses yesterday to read HIS e-mail to him!

I cannot get the preferences to switch back. I have tried re-setting the font size, re-booting and re-setting it, etc. If anyone has a simple answer, I would appreciate it. Otherwise I will have to spend some time on the phone with AOL, which I do not look forward to. Thanks!

I think you can go to View at the top of the toolbar and click View, then Text Size.

In the "you cannot possibly make this stuff up folks" category...

MARY LANDRIEU: IT WAS GEORGE BUSH'S FAULT THAT MAYOR NAGIN DIDN'T USE SCHOOL BUSES TO EVACUATE NEW ORLEANS--SAYS FAULT LIES WITH CUTS IN MASS TRANSIT SPENDING

That's not even logically consistent, but, sadly, predictable...

Are you sure it's not a screen resolution change? I mean, do you see more desktop now? If so, then the resolution was changed.....

(In case you don't know, to change the screen resolution, right click on the desktop, then Properties, then Settings, and then you can change the Screen Resoluiton...;-))

(If it is just font size, then you can change it by right-clicking the desktop, then Properties tab, then Appearance tab, then adjust the Font size setting -- Normal usually works well...;-))

Good Morning, Mr. Chairman...Good Morning All!

Last evening, elements of Troop 1550, Leesburg, VA, BSA conducted a Flag Retirement Ceremony in conjunction with a 9/11 Memorial at Crossroads Baptist Church in Leesburg.

The Four Scouts and Two Assistant Scout Masters from Troop 1550, together with a single Scout from Troop 982, also of Leesburg did a creditable job of conducting this important ceremony in the greatest of solemnity. In addition to helping with the disassembly of one flag, Da Kid, to his Old Man's pride, concluded the ceremony with a beautiful delivery of Taps.

As long as we can keep the Boy Scouts of America functioning with its traditional values, we will have a continuous source of fine future leaders.

We will never forget!

I mean, do you see more desktop now?

And if you don't, then throw away your computer, it's taking up too much space...

How, in the Katrina debate, can we be talking about racism? Star Parker

I know many of us have been outraged the past 2 weeks over the calumny & race-baiting

Good morning to all, and thank you Chairman. Good luck with the Federal Budget...I'm sure it's a small, oh 10-20 page affair, right??!! /sarcasm

When Chris Wallace presented evidence that the Bush administration funded more levee strenghtening than the Clinton administration, Landrieu complained that Clinton had to deal with Reagan's deficits.

Hello? #1. There WAS a Bush administration in between Reagan and Clinton. #2. Clinton had huge surpluses. #3. The state of Louisiana mis-spent levee/flooding money on important things like bike paths.

Sadly, Wallace didn't think fast on his feet and let her get away with that particular piece of spin.

Thanks! I got it fixed thanks to your advice. Of course, now I have made the print VERY BIG, but I think I will leave it this way for a while. At least my husband can read his e-mails. I will mess with it again tonight, after he is done with the computer, to see if I can get it normal.
