Looks like everyone hates poor August...die she must! (Simon and Garfunkle)...but I like the birthstone--a perfect apple-green peridot.
I have a love/hate with August. I hate it because by month end it's evident that summer's just about over here! Shorter days and nights getting cooler. But at the same time I'm sick of humidity by then so it's refreshing at the same time.
And my birthday is in August.
