ET has confirmed that RENEE ZELLWEGER and country crooner KENNY CHESNEY have filed to anull their marriage of just over 4 months.
The two tied the knot in a surprise ceremony back in May on the beautiful island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where the singer has a home. In a short, 15-minute ceremony performed by a female preacher in front of a small group of family and friends, the bride wore CAROLINA HERRERA, one of her favorite designers, while the groom was reportedly barefoot.
The two met at the Concert of Hope tsunami relief effort last January 15 and maintained a quiet friendship that quickly blossomed. Fans first learned of their romance when Renee reportedly brought a margarita up on stage to Kenny during his show in Jacksonville, FL.
This was the first marriage for both stars, although the 37-year-old Kenny reportedly broke off an engagement to another woman in 1999, three weeks before the wedding. Prior to marrying Kenny, Renee dated WHITE STRIPES singer JACK WHITE and her 'Me, Myself & Irene' co-star JIM CARREY.
Hollywood types should seek to marry normal people. One house isn't big enough for two egos that size. ;)

Hmmm. I've always thought Kenny looked a little soft. Renee once again played as a beard. She dated George Looney for a time awhile back. He's suspect if you ask me. I personally don't find him attractive but many women do so why does he always date ugly chicks. Hmmm?

I've gotten to know Kenny just a bit and really like him. I can't stand Zellweger. Not that I'm pleased that their "marriage" fell apart but I can't say this one bothers me too much.

But, in short, I bet I can pin point the problem: Kenny failed to turn Rene Zellalot-oftickets into Rene Chesney. He failed to name her.
Kenny, you have made a mistake so many 'guys' make; trembling and scared on her naming day, you go limp while you allow her to TAKE your name ... and then do as she pleases with it. Kenny, I love your songs, but sheesh, this is big time wimp report for such a composer and singer of manly lyrics. What a shame...

Seriously? He does nothing for me at all. I saw him with his hat off once and he was even less attractive. He looked like a Cabbage Patch Kid.
It's a good thing the world didn't stop spinning too rapidly...we might all have been flung into space!!
