Just found this BOS-NYY thread.

Electric atmosphere at Fenway last night... I can only imagine what tonight must be like up there with the Yanks visiting. More later... dinnertime! ;-)

Sox have almost no margin for error. I hope the bats wake up tonight - back to the 7-8 runs per game they were scoring at home over the summer.

Look for the Yankees to avenge their collapse after leading the playoff series 3-0 last year. Look for the Red Sux fans to be scratching their heads and complaining about the Cleveland Indians being the wild card team while they are drinking Sam Adams beer in front of television sets next week.

To win the AL East the Bosox have to beat the Yanks three times, either with a three-game sweep in Boston or winning 2 of 3 in Boston and then the tiebreaker in the Bronx.

Not going to happen.

It would have been better had they gone into this series tied. Yankees can all but put it away with a win tonight.

But then again, haven't we been down this road before?

It's been a great season. What an ending! I noticed the opening and closing games being v. NYY (noticed it in April), and recall wondering then whether the race would hinge on the last series of the regular season.

Let me preface this by saying that I am neither a Yankees or BoSoxs fan. My statistical analysis has the Yankees (2-1)winning the division with a final record of 96-66 and the Bosox in second with 94-68.

ping a ling a ding....

Who will be Bucky bleepin Dent or Dave Roberts this time around?

My guess is that whoever out of A Rod or Papi have the better series will win this series and win the AL MVP....

and I think Colon has locked up the AL CY Young as well...

One Indians fan here rooting for the BoSox. Hopefully the Tribe will win the wild card, the Red Sox win the AL East, and the Yankees go home!
