All,
You may have noticed a certain lack of ping activity on sionnsar's ping lists in the past week.
The good news (depending upon how you look at it *\;-) is that sionnsar is back from his week of nearly no Internet access at all. (Busy most of the time, but when I had time available in the evenings, the only way to get there was to attach a USB cable to the cellphone, pin the cellphone to the drapes to get just 1 bar of signal, and even then uplink rates felt like 1200 baud -- with copious interruptions.)
The bad news is... I'm still swamped with work through the weekend, deadline: Monday. But even after that, the next several months ahead do not look like I will have anywhere near as much FRee time as I have enjoyed previously.
The FR Pipes & Drums and the Geezer Geek ping lists are very low volume and probably won't see any difference, though it is always good to have a backup ping list pinger, just in case. (Yes, this is a call for volunteers.) All the ping lists are set up to make it easy for ping-list alternates -- the only thing the alternate cannot do directly is alter the main ping-list-banner and ping-list. And if you'd like one of these as a ping list of your own... just ask. Except for the Geezer Geek list. (B^)}
I will comment to the other ping lists on their pings...
So the answer is "yes."
*twisted Smiley*
:)
Sick one. ;)
;-)
You will not have been forgotten.
I can help.
"BRASS rules! Especially French Horns! LOL"
Sandy, shall we hijack the thread now--or later? ;^)
ALL: here is a patriotic BRASS photo in D.C. at Walter Reed Memorial Hospital, counter-protesting Code Pink. Enjoy.

Now's a good time. :-)
I didn't practice my horn all summer, and I'm going to pay for it tomorrow! Two services, with a stack of intense, loud music that is heavy on long, high, EXPOSED horn lines.
Pucker up, baby!
"a stack of intense, loud music"
"Pucker up, baby!"
Wagner, eh? LOL
I don't have a horn these days but long for one again, would love to play in church.
Pucker up? We just met! ;^)
...I can relate about embouchures....
LOL!
Yeah, well...
:-)
As a former tubist... tubaist... uh... tuba player, I can too. Sort of.
That was before I took up the bagpipes. Now it's not about embouchures, it's about having Lips of Steel. (Otherwise when you blow you and everyone around you hears "phhht... phhhhhht... phhhhht...")
Thanks! Any suggestions?
Here's what I do for the Trad-Anglican list:
1. Go through my list of blogs and other sites (this list is sorted mainly by frequency of update -- I can make it available)
2. See something of interest (and there are rules I apply), post it and ping the list, terminating when I reach the end of the list or 9 pings for the day
3. (I will always have to do this) Post links to these articles from the page in my tagline
Covering a subset of the sites in #1 and posting would be a huge help -- even if it's the "back-end" infrequently-updated sites. It just takes time to walk through all the ID'ed Anglican-related sites, and it doesn't seem to matter much whether I do it over broadband or 26 kbps.
Pipes and Drums of FreeRepublic ping!
This is an ultra-low-volume ping list (typically weeks to months between pings).
FReepmail me if you want on or off this list.
Nice, very nice.
