I might have been a little mischievous at home, but I knew never to act up at a restaurant. I still remember my first time going to a real restaurant. Before we left my mom read me the riot act and put her wooden spoon in her purse. My parents loved to eat out. We ate out about once a week. Some of my favorite memories are of eating out with my parents. There's still nothing I like better than trying a new restaurant or going to an old favorite.

"My response was, then we're leaving," Cavitt said.

And I am sure the manager hoped the door didn't hit ya in your arse on the way out...

Are children these days out of control?

I don't think the children have changed, but the PARENTS certainly have....

One elderly friend of mine back in Oklahoma recommended moving to the Southern Hemisphere. Wine and cheese is cheaper, of course.

Hi, Alice! I tell people that when you're outnumbered like we are, you have to keep order or go insane ... especially when you're homeschooling.

Speaking of order, it's already 7:30 and I've only seen one child so far ...

Kim Cavitt says she was offended when she was told her 2-year-old daughter should quiet down or they could leave.

"My response was, then we're leaving," Cavitt said.

Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.

Kim says her daughter is welcomed in many other Andersonville establishments, like the Swedish bakery, which gives out free cookies to kids, or Starbucks.

Then why come to my establishment? Is my coffee better than Starbucks? My Muffins better than the other bakery? Control your kid and come on in.

"And the way he handled it is extremely offensive. If you don't want children, great, that's great. Put a sign up that says no children allowed, not a benign thing where you are subjectively deciding what you consider to be positive behavior," said Cavitt.

You'd be upset if the sign said "No Children Allowed" too. C'Mon DUmmie, admit it

Laura Ingraham had this guy on near the end of her show today.

I'm with you. It's funny to see old timers salute me when I snap orders off to the kids...

Time to round up my critters and feed them....

I'm getting mine to bed for nap now :-).

Do you have yours trained to line up behind you in order of height, like "Make Way For Ducklings"?

"It's a sense of my money is green and I get to have what I want,"

Here is the root of the problem. It's not just kids and young adults, I've seen this behavior in Americans overseas since I started traveling in the late 60's. People believe they can do as they please if they have the bucks. It is amazing what you can do and see if you try to fit in.

Well, I better leave too, since I just made a comparison between raising kids and dog training.

Actually I was intrigued with the comparison. I think you're on to something!

I heard the owner interviewed on the radio today (I think it was on Michael Medved's show) - He said the kids were totally out of control. This was in an upscale neighborhood. His previous location was more middle class, and kids for the most part were well-behaved. Appears to be a case of "poor little rich kids" running loose.
