(Vanity) Collection of Patriotic/Conservative Hard Rock and Metal Songs - Add Your Own!
Self | 11/14/05 | RockinRight

I was listening to a Ted Nugent CD this morning, and I got to thinking-what if we could compile a list of hard rock and/or heavy metal songs that have a patriotic or right-leaning bent to them. Add your own!

Many of these songs won't be mainstream "hits" so post lyrics and other info if you wish.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat; Music/Entertainment
KEYWORDS: music; patrioticmusic; patriotism; shortestlistever
Here's a couple:

"Kiss My A$$," by Ted Nugent (of 1995's Spirit of the Wild)

"VOA," by Sammy Hagar (off 1984 album VOA)

After 9/11 and Bush's "you are either with us or against us" speech, I was reminded of the song, "Hair of the Dog."

Fred Bear is a good one. Has a good "feel" to it as well.

The chubby Dixie chick thought she'd sell more albums bashing the President...but it backfired big time!

"Freedom" by Alice Cooper (attacks Tipper Gore as well)

"You Can Still Rock in America" by Night Ranger (the song still s-cks though)

"Public Assistance" by Agnostic Front (lead singer Roger Miret is a Republican anti-Castro Cuban)

"America Rules" by Murphy's Law

and, of course

"The Star Spangled Banner" by Jimi Hendrix

OOh...Freedom, off "Raise your Fist and Yell."

Forgot about that one. That album was one of Alice's best...and quite underrated.

That Night Ranger song is OK, although "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" is a better song musically.

Well, my favorite Night Ranger song is "Sister Christian", although I don't think it qualifies as a patriotic song (Jack Blades wrote it for his sister's high school graduation).

That's a good song, but it's overplayed on local radio stations here even nowadays, so I get sick of it.
