The LCVP-5s in Viet Nam ran on gasoline and had their gas tanks under the floor. Go over a mine and burn. I see craters in the roads in Iraq images lately, IEDs buried under the blacktop. I knew this would happen, knew it, knew it, sh!t. American stuff is not designed for that. I have been talking about this for more than two years, as no doubt you recollect. An old Russian BTR is better for Iraq work than what we have. Designed to resist explosions underneath. Israeli stuff is the best, just fantastic.

Believe it or not the Stryker is pretty good at handling mine explosions. Mine goes off far enough from the cabin.
