I think it's freaking fantastic. Other opinions?
Why'd he return the trailer? Did he recover it from some bad guys who ripped off some redneck?
So superman takes Fema trailers away from New Orleans folks and returns them where?
I think the trailer sucks. And the whole I give earth my only begotten son bit is rather blasphemous, considering superman was sent here because Krypton was going to be destroyed and not to save the humans. ANd is that Anthony Hopkins voice as Supermans dad?
I guess it is Marlon Brandos voice. Weird.
According to one site it says that it is Anthony Hopkins playing Jor El. LOL I keep arguing with myself today.

Cast Notes: (9/17/02) Latino Review reports that Sir Anthony Hopkins is aboard to play Jor-El, Superman's father. (3/20/03)
They're using cut stuff of Brando from the original shoot back in the 70's actually.
Ahhh. Its amazing how much the two sound alike.
"Bizarro Superman live in trailer"
I just dirtied myself
I was having my doubts about this movie but that superman sonic boom did it for me. Man i was worried about the 1978 Musci + marlon brando but the music + brando + the scenes they had gave me goosebumps, absolutely fantastic. Plus this movie has that epic feel to it.
They showed some earlier test footage, with him generated vortexes around himself when he takes off through the clouds. The style is indeed great.
Nice touch on the trailer is you can see him burning the in atmosphere for awhile, then a tiny little trail heading down.
I agree with your post.
I am usually not fond of remakes, but this movie would seem to have the level of technology that was missing from the original.
Any other movies you can think of that would deserve the 'treatment'? Perhaps, Tron?
Okay. Scratch one perfectly good monitor, then. :)
They spliced together voice clips from the original Superman 1 and 2 so Brando's voice would still be a part of the movie. Brando's voice over is misleading since part of the words were from both movies. The implied 'begotten son' is a trick of the current director. Very clever editing.
I'm glad they kept John Williams' original score. What an incredible composer he is!
I never realized Superman was Jesus! And I've been a fan since the 60s when I was a kid reading every comic book I could get my hands on. :-)
There's going to be religious protesters, I bet. Pat Robertson's gonna have a field day with this one.
The Williams score is fantastic on the trailer, i had my doubts if it would work today but i think they touched it up digitially and it was amazing. I dont think they'll ever make a superman theme that tops that.
