In California, a pup of a different color is born. Don't try and adjust your screen, this golden retriever is green.
The other little canines in his litter born last weekend have blond fur -- but one pooch looks like he's Irish. The breeder is mystified- and named the puppy "Wasabi" after the spicy green mustard served with sushi. It isn't easy being green -- but at least Wasabi's ready for the St. Patrick's Day Parade!
It's not easy being green.
That's weird. But I bet they'll get a fortune for his pup.
very weird....though I did hear a Vet say it is not that strange as the color most likely came from the placenta and will most likely fad away......but very cool
Bet a blue tick hound got to her.:)
The talk in the chow line will be: What, no green hot dogs today??
His paw was a vegetarian?

Ummm, okay, which way
does this go? Does this disprove
evolution or
design? Which ping list
should get called, the scientists
or religious types?
It'll wear off, or shed when the puppy coat does... it's just staining from the placenta.
How about the veterinarians... They actually know what caused this.
Sounds like a reasonable explanation. How come I've never heard of this happening before?
Veterinarians say it's possible for a newborn pup's fur to be green because the placenta rubs off at birth. However, that stuff is dark green. Some skeptics are saying it could be a dye job.

This is exactly the case. It's not rare, I have frequently had green puppies. It goes away rather quickly. It must have been a really slow news day.

They have been offered $2,000, but say they are keeping the pup. They named it Wasabi.
