CLOONEY: 'THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST YEAR OF MY LIFE'
Lake Titicaca | Today | Brainhose

Posted on 11/26/2005 5:01:33 AM PST by Brainhose

GEORGE CLOONEY has declared the past 12 months to be the worst year of his life, after dealing with death, depression and health problems.

Among his long list of woes, the 44-year-old actor had to deal with painful spinal damage after gaining a huge amount of weight for his role in his latest movie SYRIANA.

He says, "When I started the movie I had gone through a series of sort of unhappy times. Some bad things had happened in my life and it's also depressing to put on that much weight that quickly. I did it in 30 days.

"So I was really sort of reflecting what I was going through in a way. It wasn't a lot of acting, it was just sort of me playing a part I wasn't very happy in and I wasn't very happy at the time either.

"On my way to Morocco (where Syriana was filmed), leaving my house, there was a rattlesnake wrapped around my dog with its teeth in the back of his head. I had to get a baseball bat and beat the snake until it let go, but it killed the dog. That was the last thing the dog saw, me beating a snake with a bat.

"It was just one thing after another too. My brother-in-law, who was 46 years old, stood up and had a heart attack and died.

"My dad was running for an election that he lost in the middle of this shoot and stuff like that. So it felt like I was having a bad year."

A bad year for Clooney is a good year for me.
Now I don't feel so bad having been laid off of a high-tech job of 12 years, My father being paralyzed
with ALS and being on over 10K of medication per year, my grandfather dying of a stroke.
It must be tough having zillions of $$ and a boatload of bum kissers doing anything you wish.
I feel so damned bad for George. It must be terrible being him.
And now PETA is going to be on his butt for beating a snake to death with a bat.
P.S. Does Morocco actually have rattlesnakes?

He said, "on my way to Morocco, leaving my house...". I guessed that it was as he stepped outside to get in the car to get to the airport in this country.

I'm sorry for what you've been going through.

.."there was a rattlesnake wrapped around my dog with its teeth in the back of his head. I had to get a baseball bat and beat the snake until it let go, but it killed the dog. That was the last thing the dog saw, me beating a snake with a bat...

hmmmmm. I think he was misquoted. I believe it should be:

there was a rattlesnake wrapped around my dog with its teeth in the back of his head. Because I'm a wuss and don't own a gun I had to get a baseball bat and to beat the snake. until it let go, But I missed and I but it killed the dog. That was the last thing the dog saw, me beating a snake it to death with a bat.
Ahhhh, that's better.

Another disturbing thing about that line is that he had a dog with its teeth in the back of its head and a damned snake killed it.
Dang, he could have sold that dog to Ripley's for millions.
I've never seen a dog with its teeth in the back of its head, it must be creepy.

Thanks much.
I missed that little bit of that line. Which is another terrible thing for poor George. He has to fly all the way to Morocco only to be paid 20 or 30 million dollars.
Life is so cruel for boy George.

Awwwww, bring on the tissues. George wasn't happy with a multi-million job of a few weeks, boo freakin' woo. My cat proudly walked into the living room the other day with a snake wrapped around itself. Cat 1 - Snake 0.

Does Morocco actually have rattlesnakes?

Yes.  They practice this bloodthirsty thing called Islam.

Don't cry to much for Georgie Porgie, he's investing in a new casino on the Vegas strip right near Hard Rock.

He forgot to mention his tanking movies.

Those that can't act, chose to direct, unfortunately they can't direct either.

Movie stars are pretty monkeys.

Yes, but he's a politically correct bad director/pretty monkey. An oscar nomination is almost certain for Good Night and Good Luck because it continues the liberal sliming of Joe McCarthy, he said it was specifically made as an answer to Ann Coulter's book Treason and it makes all Hollywood communists out to be heros. Sure Oscar material.

Imagine the acceptance speech!

Oh, and here's the mandatory picture:

GEORGE CLOONEY has declared the past 12 months to be the worst year of his life

What he's really sad about is that the little people have figured out he can't act, sing, direct, or do anything else to 'entertain' us.

On my way to Morocco (where Syriana was filmed), leaving my house, there was a rattlesnake wrapped around my dog with its teeth in the back of his head.

The fact he apparently can't make a proper and comprehensive sentence doesn't help matters, either!

unavailable for comment as to how their year was: 1) the brother-in-law 2) the dog 3) the snake said george's dad, nick: george always did think of how things affected him before he considered the impact on others. it's what makes him a great actor.
