Not only small posteriors, but have you noticed how deflated old men's rears are? You better be careful with those needles, they'll go clean through.

Seriously, this is a hugh problem for hospitals. Gurneys, elevators...heck, hallways! Cannot accommodate these big patients. You see few evenings in the ER pass without some personnel having to climb onto a patient in order to minister to him...

Back in 1997, while on a trip to Cancun, I got something virulent that caused my stomach to eject its contents upward periodically.

My friend and I found a doctor on Isla Mujeres who spoke (some) English, and he gave me what he alleged was a shot of Phenergan.

I had a lump at the injection site - about the size of a pecan - until 2003.

To this day, I have no idea what was in that shot besides Phenergan. (I just know I was so grateful to stop heaving, I woulda named a child after that doctor, if I'd had one.)

"Big Bottom" - Spinal Tap

The bigger the cushion
The sweeter the pushin'
That's what I said

The looser the waistband
The deeper the quicksand
Or so I have read

My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo
I like to sink her with my pink torpedo

Big bottom
Big bottom
Talk about bum cakes
My girl's got 'em
Big bottom, drive me out of my mind
How can I leave this behind?

I saw her on Monday
'Twas my lucky bun day
You know what I mean

I love her each weekday
Each velvety cheekday
You know what I mean

My love gun's loaded and she's in my sights
Big game is waiting there inside her tights

Big bottom
Big bottom
Talk about mudflaps
My gal's got 'em
Big bottom, drive me out of my mind
How can I leave this behind?

My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo
I like to sink her with my pink torpedo

Big bottom
Big bottom
Talk about bum cakes
My girl's got 'em
Big bottom, drive me out of my mind
How can I leave this behind?

The 25 men and 25 women studied at the Irish hospital ranged in age from 21 to 87.

All this from the land of the wee people?

Phenergan is irritating to the tissues, especially if not given deep into a large muscle. It's a great drug when you are vomiting; you can also take it as a suppository.

As for the lump, there is an unusual side effect of shots called a sterile abscess, which is a collection of fluid in the tissues that has no organisms growing in it (I've seen one case in 16 years as an RN). It usually needs to be drained, but it's not an infection. Sounds like that is what you may have had, and it eventually resolved on it's own.

Strangest thing I ever had, and I've had any number of strange things! I'm just glad it's finally gone, so my callipygian beauty can be truly appreciated in all its glory.
