A GOOD AM. TO YOU CHAIR, ALL, FROM THE 'KINDA COLD' MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA, BRUISED BUT NOT BROKEN!!!!

Been doing some thinking last night (dangerous I know). The press, say, do, report on ANY matter in Iraq that they think will satisfy their leftest readers, tick off the rightest readers. Things sure have changed, we all remember Dec 7, 1941 or the history of it, that first bomb bell on Hawaii and the government steped in and CENSORED all the articles of the war until APPROVED by the censors to be released. When it was, might be severl months afet the incident to keep anything getting back to the ememy/ We have a problem in our nation today, the press IS the enemy,

Most of you were not born in '41 and can read only history of the bombing in Hawaii. Even though I was a little ole snotty nose boy who stayed in trouble all the time with my momma and daddy, hearing the news on the family radio, sitting in the BR at night trying to get more information on the bombing, I can still feel the blood rushing to my head, thought at any minute bombs would fall on Greenville, Mississippi, right on our home on Inez street. I was 6 years old then and remember the feelings, afraid the enemy would come and kill my mother, daddy, sister and me. My oh my, times have sure changed. A reporter doing then what they are doing, reporting today would mean jail, big time. How folks forget.

BUT, just a few years ago we had another bombing, attack on the great nation by the radicals flying planes into the trade center, what is the difference, a bomb coming off a wing of a prop driven plan or passenger loaded jets being run into the buildings. But look where the press is today, agaist the USA and it can not be put any other way. Where is their loyalty, gone with their ethics I guess.

The day afet Pearl Harbor we were all ordered to put curtains over our windows to keep the light from being seen coming from the house. Yes, we had 'light police' to patrol at night looking for the shinning of lights, if they found a house that was, they knocked ont he door and said, '(name as everyone know each other) fix your windows, light can be seen', Today the press would shine spotlights up so the enemy could see where to bomb. I hate to be tinking this way but I am me, that is the way it goes.

We are winning the war in Iraq, make no mistake about it. All it takes is to stay the course and, many, many prayers to go up to Heaven on behalf of those troops of ours who are protecting us from these radicals.

Sorry to get off on a rant so early in the morning but like I said. I can only be me.

All stay warm, keep your toes warm, the coffee pot pluged in, and above all, YOU have a good, good day.
Toby

The press is the enemy.

You are so right, Toby. Like you, I remember that Pearl Harbor attack. This old gal also remembers how the American people were united against the enemy and supportive of our president (even though he was a Democrat).

Hollywood "stars" helped raise morale by entertaining the troops, letting them know that we were all behind them. These same stars sold war bonds to support our country's defense.

(Nowadays, they hold fund raisers for the DNC to defeat our President Bush's efforts to unite the country, and their "cut and run" clamor is not lost on the enemy. Thus they are helping our enemy, not our country. The Code Pink women are even sending the enemy $$$$..600,000 dollars.)

Newspapers back then reported the truth about our military heroes. Radio and newspapers were our way back then of getting the news. Even as a kid, I always stayed for the news shorts at the movies. There was patriotism in the very air we breathed.

The current crop of "journalists" are not doing their job....to inform us of ALL of the news.

Newspapers are losing their readership and laying off "workers"....and they don't seem to have a clue as to the reason.

CNN and MSNBC ratings are DOWN and they don't seem to realize that the American people are dissatisfied w/their coverage of the news as well.

I do not grieve for financial losses of this 5th column in our midst. They have become our enemy as much as the terrorists imo.

Good Morning, Toby!

My neighbor, Will Lehner, was aboard the USS Ward on that Sunday morning, patrolling the outer edges of Pearl Harbor.

They sunk one of the Japanese midget submarines trying to sneak into the harbor.

He saw a salvo hit the conning tower.

A few years ago he was invited by Bob Ballard (Titanic fame)to try and find the sub. He tried to tell Ballard where it was, using a mini sub but Ballard wouldn't listen.

A few months later some Japanese students, doing their own research, found the submarine right where Will had said it would be.

So true Toby, the presstitutes of the msm are really the enemy of these United States, including a couple of ex-presidents. I too remember the bombing at Pearl Harbor. The msm in those days worked along with the government to unite the citizens. Today, unfortunately, the press is trying to divide this country and break it's will to win this war on terror, just as they did in VietNam. They truly believe they can turn our citizens against our country with their constant drum beat of America is a loser, America cannot win, America tortures it's prisoners, America's economy is in the dumps and the list is endless. I truly have no respect or trust in America's presstitutes of the main stream media. In WWII, they would have been called traitors and jailed.
