Dom Capers will be replaced by Mike Zimmer, the 'Boys D. Coordinator. Gary Kubiak will finally get his shot, with the Jets. Mack Brown is pursued by the Aint's but turns them down. Tom Moore of the Colts gets the nod.

In NASCAR:
Earnhardt sees new teammate Martin Truex, Jr. cross the finish line first at Daytona. The new match helps Earnhardt all season long and he wins the NEXTEL Cup.
In baseball, Houston will lose Clemens and the World Series, to NY Yankees.
The Saints return to New Orleans, but the low turnout at games makes them have to leave within five years. Los Angeles gets the team, but New Orleans gets the Cleveland Plan.
