I vividly remember watching it the first time it was broadcast. The musical score by Vince Guaraldi was brilliant, an essential part of the overall success of the program.

Same here. I have very vivid memories of both the show and music. I was always mesmerized by Linus' monologue onstage, quoting the Bible. Very moving. And I always loved how Charlie Brown went out and bought the tree that seemed to need the most love.

This scene of all the kids dancing just would not be the same without Schroeder's ... er, VINCE'S groovin' beat!!
