You also need pitching in order to win a championship. Their staff was miserable in 2005 and they haven't done much to improve it for 2006. The Red Sox, on the other hand, appear to have a strong staff, as long as Beckett, Miller, and Schilling can stay healthy. While the Red Sox may have lost some in offense, I think overall they are going to do better than the Yankees, assuming no major moves between now and the beginning of the season
