I paid about $165 for the same rifle and the accessories. A buddy had a Curio and Relics license and he didn't want it anymore. It's in great shape. I tried it out during the Freeper rifle competition. I didn't do so well and the rifle kicked pretty hard at the prone position. You can buy 8MM for a good price but it has corrosive primers.

Ok, you broke the ice.

Guys, Mitchell's Mausers are probably the most overpriced
items you can get.
Yes they are Mausers, they are Yugo M-48s and as shooter
said you can get them for around $139+ if you look in
Shotgun News.
Better yet, learn about getting a Curio and Relic license
for $30 from the ATF and have those dealers deliver them
via UPS right to your door.

Yep, pre war (machine work like only FN could do) ex Nazified FN 98, rebarreled to 7.62 NATO (308) by the Israelis in 1967. I picked it up in 1988 for 90 bucks. Bore is like new, shoots cast bullets like a dream.

I converted it to scout rifle format few years back, now weighs in at a tad less than seven pounds, scoped & slung. Even with the bbl shortened to 19 inches, it is still deadly accurate.

I own many other guns, but if push should ever come to shove, it is the one I would go out the door with.
