Everyone,
Just to clear something to all the people, Islam in Arabic(comes from the verb Isteslam) means "to Surrender" people who were forced to become muslims(they were asked to surrender, ""Surrender yourself to God"" -or to them so u'd become a slave- about that I don't know) ,but that's how the name of that religion became Islam.
Now lotta people try to lie about this Fact(the meaning of the name Fact) by teling people that it means (peace).
ISLAM IN ARABIC DOESN'T MEAN (PEACE) !!! and of course who would say it doesn't, since 75% of arabs are muslims.... and they wanna make it look good in the 21 century....and of course since people now are more open-minded and the competition among different religions and sometimes atheism is high, as well as the growing accusing of terrorisim is also worth mentioning.
what buggs me the most, that i see Muslims from non-arabic ethnics saying that on Tv. stations in Canada and lectuering people about the actual and the symbolic translation of the name...what do you know??!!...i mean, wouldn't be better if you take some language lessons and learn how to spell your name in arabic first.
(peace) in arabic means(salam) which is completly differnt word.
but i'd say if that's how allah named it 1500 years ago, accept it !!!, don't decoy it, unless you are accusing your god of missleading...i dono, don't get me wrong, i'm just saying !!
