Do you have points in the thing? Okay, I give -- it's profitable.

Hollywood has a death wish.

Or if you include marketing costs of 100% of the film's budget, "Brokeback Mountain" has already returned a profit of 15.4%.

A good portion of the marketing was accomplished by the good folks who opposed it so strongly. As for myself, I pretty much know what it's going to be -- a repeat of Tender Mercies, a boring film I pretended to like for years because everyone said it was "brilliant."

"Geez. All Gay results."

I didn't realize that Johnny and June Carter Cash were conducting a homosexual affair. "Walk the Line" won best film, best actor, best actress.

I don't watch the Golden Globes, Oscars, or any award show. If you've seen one, you've seen them all. Too much self-stroking and pc nonsense going on.

It won in the "Best Comedy/Musical" catagory.

I refuse to see gay oriented movies. They don't hold my interest and I'm not curious about "them" and what they "do". I know too much already by unavoidable osmosis from the popular culture about this whole damn "gay" thing.

But I will recommend this one gay movie:

Phillip Seymour Hoffman for Best Dramatic Actor.

I haven't seen Fudgepack Mountain but Capote was great.

Shouldn't the headline read:

"Hollywood Puts Gun In Mouth: Pulls Trigger"

?

Good for him! He's a terrific actor! He was even great as a kid in Scent of a Woman.

I wanted to see Capote, but didn't have a chance. Will wait for DVD to come out.

but you said "all gay results"

And you said "best film".

You do understand English is full of pesky little problems and exaggerations, eh?

"And you said "best film"."

"Walk the Line" won best film for musical/comedy. How is that a "pesky little problem" or an "exaggeration"? In contrast, you used the word "all". I guess it depends on what your definition of "all" is.

What a brave stand by the Golden Globes! (yeah, right!)

When did it go from being "The Love That Dare Not Speak It's Name" to "The Love That Won't Shut The Hell Up"...
