Cats are too independent. They don't need you. Plus they make me sneeze. I enjoy cats but they can't hold a candle to a dog.

That's a load. Most cats are obviously products of how they are raised. My kitties follow me around like little ducks, and demand attention. And they come when you call them. Except the old deaf boy, of course.

And to be honest, I get tired of being "needed" all the time.

My cat (of uncertain age, although around 13) has decided the best place to be when I'm at the computer is in my lap. I would not mind this at all except for two things: (1) She's the type of cat who never seems to retract her claws all the way, and (2) she never quite seems to find just the right spot in my lap.
