James Carville, Luke Russert to host new sports talk show (XM)
RUSSERT: James Carville, before you go I understand that politics may be part of your past, that you're going to go on XM Satellite Radio and do sports? CARVILLE: Well, Mr. Russert, I can't talk about that too much, but I think there's going to be a story in tomorrow's paper. Tomorrow night I'll be on the Jay Leno show on NBC, and we'll be talking about some exciting new developments and maybe a new twist on an old career.
RUSSERT: With anyone I know?
CARVILLE: Maybe you would be familiar with someone I'll be teaming up in this, but let's just say it's going to offer a generational look at sports and the coaches of sports and things like that, and we'll be joining Bob Dylan.

Apparently Serpenthead & Russert's son are going to be doing a show on XM Radio. Details on HuffingtonPost.com
Drat!! And me without an XM subscription.
Rush got in hot water for his Donovan McNabb comment and had to leave a job he clearly enjoyed.
I imagine if Carville says anything along the same lines, no one will notice.
That will suffice until Hitlery & Bubba reclaim the White House in Carville's warped and prejudiced mind.
Carville moving away from politics into sports. I'm wondering if he's starting to get "hannitized".
That tells me all I need to know about Russert. Begala, Serpent Head and the dumbest republican in America, Mary Matalin were on Press the Meat this morning.
But that's what makes America great! More power to 'em!
and exactly what are Luke Russert's credentials to host a radio show on XM?
From the press release:
Luke Russert is currently a sophomore at Boston College. An avid sports fan, by the time he was 16, he had attended two Super Bowls, a World Series, five Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Games, an NBA final, four NBA All-Star Games, two NCAA Final Fours, an NHL Stanley Cup Final, a U.S. Open and The Preakness Stakes. A graduate of St. Albans School in Washington, D.C., where he played football and baseball, Russert worked for the highly-rated ESPN program "Pardon the Interruption" during the summer of 2005.
I'm a subscriber. None of this foolishness for me. I'll be listening to Opie&Anthony on channel 202.
Thanks. That's what I thought they would be. Well, as long as the kid has paid his dues (major eye roll).
"and exactly what are Luke Russert's credentials to host a radio show on XM?"
His father is a media big shot. Notice how all of these left wing entertainment whores who complain about nepotism and greed never hesitate to use their influence to get their kids feeding at the same trouth. I also note that those media types who always complain about unfair it is for CEOs to make big money, never fail to earn every dime they can. Does anyone really think that Luke Russert would get his own show if he wasn't Timmy's son?
I would say that this constitutes an actionable conflict of interest and should bar Snakehead for any future appearances on any NBC program as a Democrat/Liberal/traitor spokesman.
Funny, that crossed my mind the other day. Supposedly he got misty in the middle of an interview when speaking about Mary.
But old habits die hard.
Surely you jest at that statement.
Why?
That's one show I will avoid like the plague!
Rush's departure from ESPN wasn't quite as simple as his being fired for making a controversial statement. It was probably as much about the media onslaught on McNabb (which McNabb himself did nothing to invite) that followed. I'm sure the NFL doesn't appreciate commentators forcing such hardship upon its players. And since Rush isn't part of the NFL's "old boy network" he was expendable.
And remember, the painkiller story broke in the Enquirer later that week, which probably killed Rush's resolve to keep fighting for his ESPN gig.
I'd be amazed if anyone is even listening to that show to notice if Carville makes any controversial pronouncements of his own.
Well...fine, then.
