Angelina Jolie Tells Starstruck Economic Summit in Davos, Switzerland to Stay Focused
Reuters & Yahoo ^ | 1/27/06

Angelina Jolie told a summit of business leaders and politicians, many driven to distraction by the Hollywood siren, to concentrate on the real issues.

"I just think if I can ask anything it's for everybody in this room, including myself, to stay focused on the issues," Jolie, a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. refugee agency, told an audience at the World Economic Forum on Friday.

"To follow up on Darfur, to watch what is happening in the courts, to follow up on Nepal ... on Afghanistan," she said.

Jolie uses her celebrity pulling power to draw attention to humanitarian crises in places such as Darfur, Chad and Pakistan.

The Oscar-winner and her beau Brad Pitt, whose child she is carrying, have reduced the global elite at Davos to star-struck autograph hunters, scrambling over each other to get a glimpse of the actress and her man.

I wonder if Angelie Jolie got a chance to advise John F. Kerry in Davos, Switzerland on the "real issues."

Angelie and John F. pulled all their brainpower together and came up with the idea of filibustering Alito knowing it had no chance of success. Well maybe Kerry didn't know that since he was at a Swiss ski resort instead of on the Senate floor expressing his concerns.

What I wonder is who paid for skerry boondoggle to Davos, Switzerland?

Some enterprising lobbyist, perhaps?

Focus! Focus! Focus! Doesn't she remember that's what knocked her up in the first place?

If you want them to focus on the issues sweetheart, you should keep your butt out of there!

"The Oscar-winner and her beau Brad Pitt, whose child she is carrying ... "

That must be the Pitt's!

You would think she would let someone else carry the kid, whilst she was doing the work of the anointed.

A glorified homewrecker advising people at a conference?

Amazing...these "business" leaders and politicians are listening to a 30-year old child whose most marketable talent is pretending to be what she ain't. Well, if the shoe fits...

From the picture of Kerry yesterday it is obvious this conference (the millionth of its kind--the usual pious liberal pontificating) is boring boring boring.

The "focus" of the conference (for the male attendees) is probably scheming on how to get into the pants of the Hollywood sluts in attendance.

No No NO there will be no "pants" to get into - it is panties and as we all have been taught by Sharon Stoned you can send a clearer message by not wearing panties.

So given the history of communication, staying focused should not be a problem.

I wonder if they have a score card for "beaver shots" included in the registration packet? I mean one has to prove one was focused right? Or after a while they could all look like sisters and then we would need a program to tell them apart - that could become a problem and there goes the focus down the old beaver hole.

She's not a foreign policy expert, but she did play one in a movie once.
