The Dixie Chicks were humming along as a darling country music trio until one night in March 2003 in London. Lead singer Natalie Maines slammed President George W. Bush at a concert and announced to the British crowd, "We're ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas."
That didn't sit well with country music fans then, and now Maines says she's finished with the genre and is none too pleased with the fans, basically labeling them as redneck hicks.

From the picture in the referenced article, it does unfortunately look like Natalie's lost some weight - I just hope there are no country music fans left for them either way.

There's no way an "airbrush" cleared that much fat off her face. Either way, I'm hoping music fans can see through this latest bait-and-switch as well.

It came out in 2004m it was a greates hits live compilation. It has yet to sell a million copies. When they went on the VFC tour, they couldnt sell out 3000 seat venues.
