I know there is some iterest about "Hooters" around here.
While a private school would be justified in such an action, I believe that the public university is out of bounds here.

If it's not off limits to the team, I don't see why it should be off limits to the cheerleaders.

"We have little boys have their birthday parties at Hooters."
Oh, well that makes it ok then. Teach those little boys early to leer at half dressed women. Notice she didn't say, "we have little girls birthday parties here." Wonder why.

The distinction between a Hooters waitress and a cheerleader seems pretty fine to me.

Sure, their customers are there only for the fries.

If the basketball team can come in here and eat, then I should be able to work (at Hooters)." I wouldn't want my daughter working there, but this young lady has a point...

Did the cheer squad's policy (signed by all members of the squad) spell out what specific jobs the student-athletes could not hold? I somehow doubt it.

This is nothing new to her. Cheerleading squads have always had a strict code to follow. Same as the Miss America contests, while they model swimsuits they can't be vulgar in their attire such as skin tight tee's and micro mini shorts. She knew what she was doing and she should have been canned.

JOHNSON CITY - A former East Tennessee State University cheerleader contends that she was dismissed from the squad because of her job at a restaurant known for tight-fitting, scanty uniforms. They are only allowed to wear tight-fitting revealing uniforms when representing the school. The school's are just protecting their monopoly at exploiting these young women.

She graduated with honors and is going to ETSU? Guess their honors designation isn't that significant.
