I checked, but didn't see that mine had updated today. The update would have failed because I do not browse as root, but I thought I'd see the request.

Do you know if you can change the maxver prior to the upgrade? That's something I might try tonight while testing.

As far as I know you can change it anytime. An increase in version won't bollix up anything during normal running of FF.
