I'd be suprised if that could help Seattle enough to win.
But just think of the hang time on that sucker during a punt.
And all the sports pundits were saying that this year's AFC championship game would be the REAL Super Bowl. HAH.
That said, I really wish NE had made it. Pats/Seahawks would've been great.
Woo hoo! Another Seahawk weapon! Good job!
After their years battling when both were in the AFC West, Denver-Seattle would have been an awesome contest.
NE/Seattle would still have been better. Seattle's first appearance in the Super Bowl, versus the defending champion, a team which has won three out of the past four years, and would attempt a three-peat to boot. Can you say "underdog?"
Of course, Denver/Seattle would've been the battle of the QB hair. One's almost bald, the other resembles a hippie...
Good points all, but for those who followed the Broncos-Seahawks wars, that matchup would have been a sweet one.
Heck, maybe next year! :-)
I was really hoping for a Seahawks-Broncos Super Bowl too. I lived in Seattle for years and my brother has lived in Colorado for years so we had a great rivalry going through many seasons.
Either team, NE or Denver, would have given Seattle a chance.
With Pittsburgh, you have no chance!
Hee hee hee!
Funny.
>I was really hoping for a Seahawks-Broncos Super Bowl too.<
Sure are enough sour grapes around here. What is, is.
I'm quite happy the Steelers are playing today. They beat three other teams ranked 1,2 and 3 and deserve to be there.
I thought that would be cool, too. I grew up in Denver.
I just started a SB Live thread if anyone's interested:
