Why do you Pack fans hate Holmgren so much? He brought a ring to Title Town didn't he?

Pittsburgh's quarterback did not cross the goal line on the first TD, the holding call against Seattle was non-existent, as Madden said, and the offensive interference against Seattle was a joke, as Steve Young said. They were all game changing calls.

I watched the game and rooted for Pittsburg, but, I have to agree that the referees stunk and it could have just as easily been 24-17, Seahawks.

I fell asleep in the second quarter but the Stones woke me up at halftime. The Seasquawks deserved to lose after stealing the 12th man from Texas A&M.

Was it me, or were the ads really lame this year?

It wasn't just you. We were all moaning and groaning over the ads. And to think they paid MILLIONS of dollars for a 30 second ad! I did enjoy the one with the young Kleidsdale (sp?)...little horsey trying to pull the Budweiser cart. That one was cute. I also think they should forbid Brittany Spears from ever appearing in another Super Bowl commercial. LOL

I agree totally. That was the biggest game of the year and the refs ruined it.

I think Lynn Swann also gained about 3 points in the gubernatorial race in PA...

You got that right. The Steelers win was politcal gold for Lynn Swann.

Don't ask me who the woman is, I have no idea.

Boy talking abot a team having a 12th man. The refs seemed to be playing for the Steelers IMHO.

Actually, the refs won the game for PIttsburgh, that was the worst officiated Superbowl I've ever seen.

Now now now! Musn't be a sore loser. Pittsburgh had a couple iffy calls against them too. As Chuck Noll said, " They all equal out in the end." Congratulations Steelers!

Did you see the one with the Clydesdale yearling? That was too cute!

Yes! That's the one I was referring to! Absolutely too cute! :)

Congratulations for the Steelers win.

Bad calls by the refs or not, one thing that surprised me was that the place was so full of Steelers fans you'd think we just witnessed an indoor version of Heinz Field. The sea of Terrible Towels waving in the stands was just amazing.

Hey, at least we had a long-time organization win the Super Bowl, not one bought by "Microsoft Money" (pun definitely intended here!).

There's no animosity towards Holmgren. We appreciate the job he did in bringing GB back from the dark ages.

What plays would those be? The call on Hasselback for an illegal block WAS lame, The only other poor call I can think
of (Hasseback's fumble) was corrected upon review.

Quite. It was pathetic. It always annoys me when they over-arrange the anthem and try to add all sorts of extra notes that aren't in the original, but when they then use someone whose voice is far from up to the job (and yes, I'm talking about you, Aaron) then it's almost unbearable.

I don't care about Lynn Swann, whoever he is, but I'd love to meet those two!

They were. I also thought the national anthem wasn't done too well.

I thought that perhaps Aaron Neville's mike had been turned off. Whoever was in charge of the sound system ought to get a good talking to. Even the beginning of the halftime show was horrible as far as the sound system goes. Also, I thought the halftime show was a disappointment. And I even like the Stones. :)
