I agree.

Didn't see that, so can't argue.

But my problem was with the 15yd penalty for the illegal block on the tackle after the interception. That made a huge difference, and also seemed to go beyond the call of reasonable officiating.

The completion to the 1 yard line which was called abck due to a late (very late) penalty for phantom holding. Two plays later if you will remember Alexander was tackled from beind by the shirt collar. The league this year put in a brand new rule dealing with just such a tackle, due to its rick of ruining a guys career. You might recall Madden finally even said, ;that almost looked like a horsecollar tackle. The next play you might recall was an inteception, on a pass that would not have had to be thrown if the officials had called the obvious horse collare personal foul on the previous play. Counting th phantom penalty on hasselback after the int., the official blew three calls in the course of five plays. Each of these calls went against Seattle and the net affect was to totally change the complexion of the game. Also, on the third down that came with about 4 minutes left, the clock was clearly at 0 before Big Ben called timneout. You might recall they needed four yards and got exactly that after the timeout was granted. Congrats to Pittsburg, but also you might note that they received no penalties in the second half, how many did Seattle have?

" I only found the FedEx one about the cavemen to even be entertaining."

I just tried Googling "Fedex caveman superbowl ad" and there are a number of sites that have something about it but one site did not load up so it may have the ad there but is swamped. I thought that ad was great.

Too bad Seattle, go cry some liberal tears into your overpriced lattes tomorrow. Of course, you also have the anticipation of another scintillating season of Mariner baseball coming up- NOT!

The best commercial was the Streaker and having the two cowboys say "I didn't need to see that" was a dig at Brokeback mountain.

There was also the blocking below the knees penalty when Hasselback made a great tackle. This is absolutely the poorest officating I have seen in a year of poor officiating. I hope the NFL does something about it. Maybe they should think about hiring pro officials instead of having people ref a superbowl as a part time job.

Push off in the end zone? A reciever can cutback back and change direction. If the DB runs into to him that is too bad.

Also, in the 3rd Quarter Roth scrambled for a first down cept a Seattle linebacker was blocked from behind... thus Roth gets a first down.

Also a bogus holding call...even still if Stevens caught his passes Seahawks should have won.

Steelers get the win...with an asterisk.

Yeah!!! and the way they made Jerramy Stevens drop all those passes, and how the refs threw those chop blocks on Parker's long run. Despicable. I'm not watching football for the rest of this season. Terrible.

Micheals and Madden are the worlds worst, and so is ABC. That was the worst broadcast I have ever seen.

Someone needs to tell Keith Richards that he died about 8 years ago...and just never realized it. I think the guy's undead...

I guess it's not everyday you see a bunch of guys in their mid 60s on a rock and roll stage.

The Ameriquest commercial was funny!

When your team loses it's always the officials' fault!

And what surprised me is that I saw ads during halftime that I saw last week? Re-run ads on SuperBowl half time? I don't understand it?

Yeah, you're right about that. The commercial where the guy's playing basketball, and his shot gets blocked and wacks him in the nose. I saw that commercial weeks ago.

I agree: The biggest game of the year and it's decided by the refs. That was so lame that even John Madden and Steve Young were wondering what was going on.

The officiating is what makes sports so nail-bitingly intriguing.

If it was switched to automated, computerized officiating, sports would be boring and we'd all be drinking beers watching horseshoes and dog shows.
