Will the US arrest the Vandersloot's and keep them in custody?
I bet not....once the leave the US they will never return....
Since the crime didn't occur on US soil, that's a puzzle, from what Greta was wondering. But, at least they are officially charged in America .. stranger things have happened with criminals.
Civil suit..It will be interesting to see what information they may give in depositions..or if they simply don't contest and stay out of our jurisdiction. They could not refuse to testify in a civil trial if it ever comes to that. I don't really know how this goes when it is not a resident of the US being sued.
