The food network has become the station where the hosts and chefs look, well, good enough to eat.
At the Food Network, E.V.O.O. means extra-virgin olive oil. But theres also a bit of T&A on hand and that definitely does not stand for tomatoes and apples.
The Food network has a subscriber base of 88 million, a group that has blossomed in its 13 years from 6.5 million members in 1993.
Much of the success can be attributed to Emeril Lagasse, who strapped the fledgling food tv network to his back and carried it through the nineties.
But a new savior has arrived and frankly one that quite a bit easier on the eyes. If I may steal a phrase from the food diva, she's Yum-O!.
With four count 'em hour - shows on the Food Network, including "30-Minute Meals," in which she puts together meals in under 30 minutes silly, and "$40 a Day," in which she dines while traveling on a budget - two best selling cookbooks out this year, a new magazine - Rachael Ray knows how to heat up things up in and out of the kitchen!
Ray is a 37-year-old wholesome hottie who has taken the Baton from Lagasse to become the face - and body - of the Food Network.
Ray is author of 11 books and namesake of a new magazine. She has also posed in skimpy shorts for a little FHM "action".
She's also the first foodie expert to do a talk show, which is set to air next fall. The show will focus on "taking a bigger bite out of life."
I cannot believe she is 37! I thought she was at least 5 years younger.
I know I added to her bank account by buying one of her cookbooks.
Who said all hotties must have 38DD chests?
I like Giada better.
Off topic foodie gossip, but yesterday's NY POST reports that real Food network hottie Sandra Lee ( someone please fetch a pic) who has a daytime show...is a hot and heavy item with Andrew Cuomo..
Cooks age badly.
She's gorgeous, which is the only reason I can see her having a "cooking" show. Her show is called "Semi-Homemade", which is generous. It's all about how to open a box of mix and somehow make people think you made something from scratch. She might be great for Andrew, if he doesn't mind eating out all the time.
I know who I must ping. ; )
Eh... this was after she'd cut the dickens out of her thumb...
Ever notice the music that is played during Giada's show is somewhat erotic as well? It really does sound like porn music. Or so I've heard..... la la la, I'm going over here now...
I've never seen the show..
Hard work + perserverence = multi-millionre
I do that all the time! LOL!
ME TOO. Even with her double yolker sized head. ;o)
A lot of people do, but they don't get TV shows to show other people how to do it!
ping
That's sad...a chef with no taste.
PIE! PIE!! mmmmmm.. I want some pie...(LOL)
