Thousands Roar Into Daytona Beach for Bike Week

DAYTONA BEACH, FL -- The annual pilgrimage to "motorcycle mecca" is underway. Thousands of bikers are roaring into Daytona Beach for Bike Week. The city is geared up and vendors are set up along Main Street. More than 300,000 motorcycle riders are expected to roll through town.

In fact, I may be in Daytona next Friday afternoon. I'll be driving up from Orlando in a car and avoiding Main Street.

Jury is still out on the validity of the Snell rating. One of the major rags did a study which indicated that Snell rated lids might be too stiff and cause other problems.
Despite my sour grapes from too many repairs in the two years I had it, I kind of miss the old Dyna.
