No no no.
That time can be much better spent re-arranging sock drawers!!!
:-)
I haven't watched the Oscars in years and will continue my tradition. They suck.
Oscar looks a bit light in the loafers, actually.

Of course not ... but this is a way for Hollywood to stick a finger in the eye of middle America.
(Denny Crane: "I Don't Want To Socialize With A Pinko Liberal Democrat Commie. Say What You Like About Republicans. We Stick To Our Convictions. Even When We Know We're Dead Wrong.")
I didn't realize this until now, three of the best picture noms are to movies based (however loosely, and I really hav no clue about how much that might be) on real life events. Is that unusual?
Fortunately for ABC, there is no strong competition on TV tonight.
Well, duh--it's become a joke and a new euphemism for homosexuals...who didn't need any more euphemisms.
I'd watch a test pattern before I watch the Oscars this year.
They ain't grabbin' me.
Did you want a list, or was that a rhetorical question?
:-)
Interesting. The top three gross films are:
1. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
2. The Chronicles of Narnia...
3. Walk the Line.
And then #4 trailing the pack is...
Brokeback Mountain
Oops, poor choice of words...
So let me get this straight (no pun intended).
The media overhypes a movie as groundbreaking and courageous (when in reality it is hardly groundbreaking or courageous), and no one sees the movie....
So now they're banking on the American public wanting to see the movie because its going to be showcased on an awards show that no one will watch??
Transamerica only made $4 million? That's funny.
Mmmmm - gee, I think I'll pass on this magical nite celebrating films about sodomy and gender-bending.
Have they have lost their minds out there?
I agree; even if we watch just 'to see' they will think we're supporting them.
Not tonight; not here. First time ever.
