Kirilenko's Wife Encourages Him to Wander: Once a Year

(Utah) Jazz forward Andrei Kirilenko's extracurricular sex life, or lack thereof, has become a subject of national amusement.

Kirilenko's wife, Masha Lopatova, once a pop star in the couple's native Russia, is quoted in the current issue of ESPN The Magazine as saying she allows her husband to have sex with another woman one night a year. "When this article comes out, girls will be lining up outside his hotel door," she told the magazine. "When I'm aware and I let him do it, it's not cheating." Kirilenko's response: "I'm not planning to do anything. But she said if you want to do it, you can do it."

The story became a hot topic on American sports-talk radio and cable television earlier this week, including ESPN's popular "Pardon The Interruption." Said co-host Michael Wilbon, a Washington Post columnist, "Ain't Mrs. Kirilenko the coolest wife in the world or what?" Quipped co-host Tony Kornheiser, also a Post columnist: "She is a top-five wife, all-time."

One other interesting revelation from the magazine story shed light on how Kirilenko likes to spend some of his offseason time away from conservative Utah: "I have seven months when I can be patient," he said, "and five months when I can go to nightclubs and nobody will say anything to me."

See, I think she's a smart wife...she's taken the danger out of it and he probably won't do it.

Hey handsome, I just posted the silly thread, I do not stand by this odd marriage plan.

You have had FReepmail...........

She's an ugly thing and maybe that's her desperation to hold on to him.

She probably also offers erotic services when her husband has away games. You know how crazy those Russians get.

Ooooh, that is a pretty bad picture. Did you see the one with the article? She looked beautiful there.

Hmmm?

Cameras can lie often ....... really.

Anyhow............. I'm looking forward to seeing if Martina Hingis can stay healthy and keep playing well.

She will get to a good level that was higher than before she left.

The question will be two kinds.

Can she break into the top ten and start beating all the top players to gain #1 ever again?

Will her formerly injured feet become chronic again and force her to retire once more early?

I think the reason she is back (like Michael Jordan) is that when she is playing, she gets 10-30 million maybe a year in endorsements.
When she stops playing, the endorsements dwindle down to at most $500,000 after three years.

She likes the game, but if she can be top 7 material for the next 5 years she'll bank 150 million not counting prize money.

Why not?

I think she's quickly approaching the top ten. On ESPN she's rated 32nd, but I'm sure she deserves to be higher now. Who knows how they rank them.

I'd bet if something fails her it's part of her body up higher this time, like a hip or shoulder. I hope her feet hold out for her.

LOL ........ right.
