His movements might just be a part of who he is when he sings. I'm not sure if Ray Charles had ever been diagnosed as having Tourette Syndrome or not.

My half sister had Tourette when she was growing up. She took medecine for it, which kept her so doped up that she had a hard time in school. They found by giving her high doses of B vitamins they could reduce her meds by half and that worked great for her.

I doubt that he has Tourette Syndrome. I've looked at him standing in the balcony while others are singing and he is still and watching.

HE'S AIKEN FOR SOME BETTER PUBLICITY

EXPECT to see Clay Aiken popping up all over with beautiful women on his arms soon. Aiken has kept a low profile since former Green Beret John Paulus went on the record saying they had unprotected sex. Since then, others have come forward, noting they too had relations with Aiken after meeting him on the Internet. Aiken, whose image is based on a church choirboy, was even sued by some irate fans claiming false marketing - and now, spies said Aiken was spotted last Tuesday night at the Dinner De tective, a murder mystery dinner in Los Angeles with "a gorgeous girl on his arm." Our spy giggled: "Unfortu nately, the strategy does nothing to wash away the disturbing images of his half-nude Web cam striptease pho tos seared across the brains of who ever has seen them on the Internet or in print." What's next - the requisite visit to the Playboy Mansion?

>>>This week’s special celebrity oldster is Barry Manilow. Barry is, after all these years, still phenomenally popular. He was the Clay Aiken of the 1970s, but even more successful than Clay, in an era when it was still impolite to publicly speculate on the sexual orientation of a male performer, even if he played piano for Bette Midler in gay bathhouses. Barry’s latest CD, a collection of boring cover versions of 1950s songs, is the number 1 record in the country.<<<

That's OK. Barry is on his way to becoming a Gay Gazillionnaire, like Liberace. He has just re-upped his contract for his Vegas Show, until 2008.

I thought Manilow was very gracious with the AI kids. He is always on the lookout for new talent for his successful enterprises, so the kids would do well to be nice to him.

Maybe Taylor has a mild case of scoliosis. That would explain the awkward jutting out of the hip and odd angle of the shoulders.

Anyway, he should be thankful for these quirks...they will keep Paula from trying to jump his bones.

Thanks for the new link, man this one is full of good gossip already.

I may not be on live this week, with Lent and all I've got some church stuff to do.

I know I'm supposed to sacrifice, but missing the live 24 and the AI threads...it's down right suffering.

OMG! This gay reviewer is a riot. Here's what he said about Mandisa last week:

And she’s great tonight, finally singing softly with some guts instead of just foghorning her way through it. When she opens her mouth wide, though, you can see that her tongue is all orange. Someone was snacking on Cheetos, Sunkist soda, and circus peanuts before the show. Afterward, Paula says, “You took me right back to the ’50s.” Except that Paula wasn’t even born then. Then Seacrest, in an archetypal Type 3 Gay moment (see last week’s recap for an explanation of Type 3 Gay, because I don’t have time to explain it again), coos over Mandisa’s shoes. Cut to Mandisa’s well-pedicured toes for the second time in as many weeks. You just know that every dude in the country with a thing for BBWs and feet is having a very good TV-watching time tonight.

What infraction have I done that warrants you saying that I cannot post to this thread anymore?

Because I questioned whether Taylor Hicks has Tourette?

I have read where his bandmembers say that Taylor's been tame on the show compared to what he is usually like and that it's just that he REALLY gets into the music. They say he's just a regular guy otherwise. (I've read he likes to discuss politics. I suspect he's one of us ; ) )

I just gotta say has anyone watched the greats lately. All of them move in unique and interesting ways. I think it's a Soul Thing. ; )

This is to counter the pee wee picture that was posted earlier.

Thanks for your post and for the pic! I think its just that he gets into the music so much.

I'm still kind of in limbo, not sure why I was told to not post to the thread in freepmail.

I disagreed with a poster about Paula but we resolved that in the last thread by both of us agreeing to disagree.

Not sure what I have supposedly done wrong.

If there is a list of people that we have to agree with, then I missed the list and need to have it reposted for me. I thought discussion forums were for discussing. That generally means you may not always agree.

I haven't posted any pics with women's breasts showing, like above in the thread.

I haven't called anyone names. I haven't used swear words. I haven't made fun of anyone else's chosen contestant. There's a few contestants that I don't care for, but I haven't given them names or insulted their supporters by calling them names.

I posted a poll in the other thread, but that wouldn't seem to be a problem since polls are posted all the time.

I'm just not sure what I did that was worse than what people on these threads do all the time. *scratching head*

Be careful. You might get called a bully for defending your opinion and countering another pic with one of your own. ;)

One of the best things about this thread is the FReeper humor displayed at the expense of the people involved with the show. If all we can say are nice things about the contestants, the judges, the producers, the has-beens, the thread will lose its appeal. It's only a TV show after all. The weirder the people act, the more the producers like it, because it generates "buzz".

Imagine if all the judges were sweet and nice and kind. Dullsville. What makes for a compelling show (and discussion of said show) are the differences of opinion displayed and the various personalities involved.

Got to agree with you. :) Just trying to figure out who the REAL bullies are around here.

That is what I was trying to point out. I did get a few good laughs out of what he wrote.

I really like Taylor and his music. I haven't been posting on the FR AI threads because of time constraints but his own music is what I like. I'm glad that he's in the competition because maybe the PTB will finally stop putting the like's of Britney out and give us some REAL music again. Have you heard any of his original music?

I think that this year's group of contestants is very talented though. I don't know about the rules of posting on these threads but I hope that we can share our opinions without people getting ugly.

Oh and I agree about the non family friendly boob pics posted above. I really don't care to see some bimbo's boobs. That really did not need to be posted. However, I'm an adult and shook my head. lol

I haven't listened to any of his original music yet. I really enjoy listening to him and watching him perform. He really gets the audience involved.

I agree. I also like Mandisa.
