Yeah, there is no clear "star" this time - just five pretty good singers, none of whom are headed for greatness. Katherine would make the best album, but she just doesn't connect with her audience at all. I get the impression that in real life, she might be a clone of Cordelia on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". ;) At least she didn't wear that yellow dress that made her look like the Mountain Dew Blimp. I'll give Chris credit just for doing a Shinedown song on American Idol. He's probably going to win, but he needs to front a popular band, not tour as a solo artist. Elliott is destined for Broadway. Paris is still a few years away from being a viable performer. And I really don't get why Taylor is still on the show.
Probably because he can sing and is a great entertainer. I can't wait for his CD's to come out!
Just about every red blooded woman gets it. Something about the way he moves. Oh and he really can sing very well too. ; )
His own music is really good. I have his cd and thoroughly enjoy it. It's more on the lines of "Something" than PTFM.
I don't think it would be possible to listen to a full album of Katherine, with the occasional lapses into screaming.
Honestly, I thought that second song of hers, on the ground (no wardrobe disasters), pleading with some macho other-race guys about getting the horse out of the cherry tree, was the best, funniest thing she did. My warped sense of humor found lots of innuendo. This is the first time she didn't over-sing and start yelping. Her fans who find her sexually appealing must have loved her on the ground howling with joy.
I've been Kelli's advocate. I miss the humor, sense of wonder and confusion, and appreciation she brought to the contest.
Can't wait to see her in situation comedy, with some light singing...she's this year's star.
LMAO!!! Great analogy. I really miss that show too. Some of the best writing in all of television.
