church group, although I've done it on my own, as well as with a work group before. It's a good reality-check.
Our church hosts a "part-time" homeless shelter (just weekday afternoons), so every year we invite the homeless folk in for a dinner around Christmas. They're usually so grateful to get a good meal, and it's helpful for our congregation to get up-close to some of the people we're helping all year.
