Case against at least one Duke defemdant unraveling fast.
Defendant Seiligman went to bank ATM while rape supposedly happening.
12:02 Time stamped photos show girl arriving. Girl leaves, comes back, call friends on cell phone does other things. 12:19 Seiligman calls cab dispatcher 12:24 Seiligman takes cab to bank miles away, uses ATM card (photos show it is him.) 12:42 after walking back to dorm, Seiligman uses security card to enter dorm. Does not leave.
Also, Seiligman was never interviewed by cops. DA seeking reelection simply took "Dancers" word that he raped her.

Lots of low class on both sides of this mess, any guilt or innocence aside.
A mess which could have been prevented had at least one of the guys turned away (or helped) the visibly bruised and drunken stripper upon her arrival.

Well, I'm not proud of it, but I took some GHB a couple of times before marriage/kids. I went to a few rave clubs in San Francisco back in the day (mid-90s, fresh out of college with a good first job and some money), and if you took a tiny amount of GHB it loosened you up (similar to inebriation), but it didn't have the calories or hangover associated with it. That and the 'club scene' frowns on drinking alcohol, at least at that time. On the two occasions I was idiotic enough to do it, it worked almost immediately and gave me the desired effect. This said, this was a TINY amount. The date rape amount would be more. I don't know how much more, but more. One would have to be a pharmacist to know how much wouldn't kill you.
A side story on GHB was when Sebastian Janikowski (then of the Florida State Seminole football team) got caught with it. I remember all of the media reports saying how he and his buddies were going to use it to rape the ladies he was with. My friends and I laughed. We KNEW why he had it. To get himself high.
This is why I am still laughing when I hear one of these commentators talk about her being drugged. More likely she was either drunk or, if GHB was present, she ingested it herself. As for the smiling part of it, that wasn't what I remember as a side effect. Of course, many of the people in the clubs used Ecstacy as their drug of choice, so they were already in a perma-grin. And since I only took a very small amount of 'G', the effects on me were minimal.

You look at them the wrong way and they detach.
My wife is an RN and hospital policy prohibits artificial and long nails for those involved in pt care. For special occasions, my wife puts on temporary press ons and then I become the sherpa.
I have to button her coat and hook in her seat belt, etc. Because she can't risk losing one doing ordinary tasks before we arrive at the event. And even with my help, one or two fall off, anyway.
And yet, in this horrific struggle- only 4 fell off ?

I think the fairest interpretation from the affidavit itself (not the media) is that the fingernails were in the bathroom.
I don't think the money, the makeup bag, ID, or cellphone were necessarily in the bathroom, but they were clearly INSIDE the house somewhere.

Couldn't the judge rule the ID inadmissable if he learns it was illegally done?

Yes, the judge can throw this out for an illegal ID and without any other real evidence the case would be over.
