It will turn out he is not really evil, he has the best interest of the united states at heart, he is just misguided or something. Can't believe that 24 would pait a sitting US president as evil. But it is season 5, what else ya gonna do.

Shark jumping w/o consequence is what makes this show a hit! I'm not an expert, by any means. But, I have seen the shark jumped many times.
No, it's not. You are equating this guy as President Bush. The makers said on Rush's show that he is more like a Nixon, instead of Bush. I see him more as a Lyndon Johnson, unless it is found he really does have the country's interest at heart.
