Can you or anyone else answer one question for me. I have a real problem watching dramas/suspense shows or movies, knowing up front that the lead character will survice any and all dangerous activities... Takes the mystery out of the story-line for me, and probably the biggest reason I haven't watched it. I LOVE Rescue Me, the Shield, etc, but those are totally different...
Does this not bother anyone else??? How do you get around it? Thanks

C'mon!
Do your REALLY think they would kill off Vic in "The Shield"?

What keeps us coming back is the knowledge that for once, the good guy wins. Oh, that and the body count. And the interesting way people die. And Chloe's super-cool geek ways. And wondering just how long Audrey is gonna last. And hoping we NEVER have to see Martha and Logan kiss again (ooohh, yuck! spitoooey! that was just gross!) And...well, see, there's lots of reasons we watch. (Oh, and the drinking game!)

I suspect, at some point, in some season, we may reach the point where survival may become 'iffy' for Jack Bauer, and for all of his skills and powers, he will meet his demise.
Others will rise up to continue his fight. IMHO!
