Teacher accused of having sex with student
The Associated Press

WILKESBORO, N.C. - A substitute teacher in Wilkes County has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student for more than a year, authorities said.

Stephen George Kennedy, 26, of North Wilkesboro, was arrested Monday after being called out of class. He is charged with first-degree sex offense, indecent liberties with a student, indecent liberties with a minor and second-degree statutory rape. Kennedy has been suspended without pay, pending an investigation of the charges by the administration. He is banned from school property during the suspension.

Wilkes County Sheriff Dane Mastin said that no other students were involved.

Kennedy was a teacher and assistant wrestling coach at North Wilkes Middle School when the relationship began in December 2004, Mastin said. The student was 13 at the time.

The contact continued until recently, mostly at Kennedy's home, Mastin said.

Kennedy worked at North Wilkes from August 2002 until the end of last year, according to Wilkes County Schools. He requested a leave of absence for this school year to pursue academic studies, but continued to work as a substitute.

The investigation started Friday when the boy's parents contacted the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's office found a computer at Kennedy's home that contained evidence of the contact, Mastin said.

It's not pedophilia, it's homosexuality with a minor.

Why of COURSE! Have we become so intolerant of alternate life style choices that we must condemn "the love that dare not speak it's name"? (*gasp*)

Where are the wise sages of NAMBLA, the ACLU, et al?

Oh right, we can't say where they are on this family-oriented website. ;)

The sheriff's office said other charges are pending. Authorities said Kennedy knew the student at North Wilkes Middle School when the student was 13 years old and that Kennedy continued having relations with the student until the student was 15.

Wilkes County? Frankly I'm suprised the old boy made it to the police station in one piece.

Isn't it interesting how the media will absolutely avoid mention the H letter. Why can't they say it is a perverted under age young boy who is raped!

Isn't it interesting how the media will absolutely avoid mention the H letter.

They don't mention homosexuality, of course, but if you read even more closely you will see that they do not mention anything that would identify the gender of the victim. Not even the pronoun "he". Instead they use clumsy constructs like "Kennedy continued having relations with the student until the student was 15."

Contrast that with the story about the child molester in Minnesota that popped up just a few minutes ago. In that story, the reporter mentions "two girls" near the beginning of the article.

This is nearly always the pattern with this kind of story, and it's obvious what's going on when you read these stories carefully. The reporters are either flaming liberals, or quite likely homosexuals themselves. They are obscuring the reality of homosexual pedophilia, while trumpeting any instances of heterosexual pedophilia.

The media is fond of saying 1 in 10 people are homosexual, which is a crock (it's more like 1 in 30). At the same time, they piously proclaim that pedophilia is "equally likely" to involve boys or girls, which is true, but the implication is that heterosexuals are as likely to commit pedophilia as homosexuals, which most definitely is not true. They count on the public not remembering that a few stories ago they were talking about the 1-in-10 figure, and not doing the simple math that shows that homosexuals are therefore at least 10 times more likely than heterosexuals to be child molesters.

This kind of hidden bias is a specialty of the antique media. Another example is coverage of crooked politicians who get caught. If no political party is mentioned in the story, it is ALWAYS a Democrat, and if the politician is a Republican, this fact is ALWAYS featured prominently.

Similarly, stories about pro-abortion marches invariably show pictures of white-haired grandmothers marching with their adolescent granddaughters, or pretty young college women. They don't show the 300-lb diesel dykes in overalls. And these stories make the front page, with inflated numbers of marchers reported. Meanwhile, pro-life marches are buried in the back pages, even when they are larger, and the photographers and editors do their best to depict the most apoplectic white male God-shouters among them.

Most of all, this bias manifests itself in stories with a racial angle. If "youths" are arrested for some heinous crime, with no pictures or races reported, you can be sure they are black (at least in this country, or Muslim in Europe.)

Readers of the antique media are having to become more and more like the readers of Pravda in the days of the Soviet Union. What is left out is becoming more central to the story than what is reported.

And the time is not far off when the Soviet comparison would be even more apt. If I were to put what I have just written here in a letter to the editor of a Canadian newspaper, I would end up in jail on hate crime charges.

Luckily we have the Internet and the First Amendment. If we ever lose either of those institutions, we are in real trouble as a nation.
