Rape Case Is Seen as Symbol at Black College in N.C. (Duke LAX)

Kristiana Bennett, a junior with a child and a part-time job, knows what that means. Between classes, she uses the phone to check on her son at day care. They live in a Section 8 apartment off campus. Once, in a financially desperate moment, Bennett considered dancing at an adult club -- $400 in a night compared with the $11 an hour she earned caring for an elderly woman. Ultimately, Bennett decided she couldn't do it. But that feeling of desperation is what made her relate to the accuser, whom she had met only in passing earlier this year.

"We are the same age," Bennett said. "Both of us are single mothers. And both of us are poor."

Becoming a young unwed mother is the single biggest correlative factor with remaining mired in poverty.

Perhaps it is irresponsible of these young women to have children outside of marriage?

This is so typical of sleazy MSM journalism. Instead of quoting a knowledgeable expert who would say how hard it is to manipulate in a non-traceable way the underlying metadata where the time data is embedded, the reporter instead takes the idea she wants to get across (the time stamps are phony) from the mouth of some random interviewee who, strictly speaking, need not as a journalistic matter have a reasonable basis for her statements.

Kristiana Bennett is a reporter for the Campus Echo, NCCU's student newspaper....Bennett spoke with neighbors [of the accuser]. One told of a barbecue where the woman behaved in an unflattering manner. Bennett could not bring herself to include the details in the article for her paper.

Ms. Bennett has a future with the Washington Post or the NYT. We don't print any facts that don't fit with our action line.

Did you note, the Washington Post did not post the name of the whore, the Washington Post did post the names of the accused. PS look up the definition of whore in dictionary.com.

NCCU is accepting of this "stripper". They do not condemn her lifestyle. The lifestyle is a looser. By their lack of condemnation of it, they have chosen to glorify it as acceptable. Just to clarify those statistics - weren't they were for inter-race *gang* rape, i.e., two or more rapists?

They're really compelling. Even though Jessie Jackson said gangs of white men wanting to black women were commonplace, in fact, they are almost non-existent, a fraction of 1%. Those few cases that do make it into the data base have Hispanics mis-classified as black.

I'm a bit sad to say this case has shown me a light I didn't want to see. This is what "black" institutions do. Ferment hate against whites. Nobody in their right mind can look at what is known about this case and not question the accuser. That is, unless they want to use it as an excuse to hurt some white folks.

The woman's family has already met with a CIVIL attorney. There is no doubt that is the goal here.
