I've never been on a cruise ship. How easy is it to fall overboard? There is about a 4' railing that you would have to fall over. Pretty tricky unless you are really drunk.

Well, it's harder for a sober person - like someone here said, he was probably puking over the railing, and got dizzy while doing it, and leaned all the way over.

Ever been on a balcony, even a second story one? How easy would it be to fall off a balcony if you were rip-roaring drunk?
The rails are designed with the assumption that you are not a moron. When you are that drunk the assumption is not valid.
