I've definitely heard about Ford's problems. I've also been reading about the $221 million spend on advertising to gays. So it seems that only Ford is in trouble and no one else. I find that more odd than anything. Sorry but I don't follow your second statement. I don't understand the exxon barf alert.
admatt's very first post, too.
LOL. Know thine enemy.
Thanks for the biggest laugh of the morning! I'd wager the dominant consensus on FR 'can't possibly fathom a conservative Republican gay person,' either!
I would have, too. Then, I found this thread.
"Conservative" is definitely in the eye (or some other cavity) of the beholder.
Thanks for letting us know. I never listen to public radio.
True.
:-) I know. Just being a wise acre.
Someone here has to. It ain't easy! Do I get hazardous duty pay?
Surely this qualifies as abuse of a corpse
First a spanking. Now this. What next?
Thanks for posting that. I have spent the last hour listening to the interview.
First, the host of that show is insufferable. I don't know if she is on Stations outside DC but I wanted to grab the woman by the throat. She sounds like some DC snob thats upset that all this pesky Republicans are running around DC snatching up the good tickets to the Lincoln Center. I thought the conversation on the stock options was priceless. "Well Mary we will have to agree to disagree" and then she trys to sneak in a Washington Post article 10 seconds before the show ends thinking she wont have time to respond.
Mary Cheney is a very classy woman and very articulate.
I don't agree with you on much, but I feel the exact same way on this.
It would be interesting to see a poll on the right of how many FR freepers are gay or bisexual.
No doubt.
Despite all of their protestations to the contrary, the light of truth hurts their eyes and blinds them.
They avoid it at all costs.
Who defines this?
She and Randy Rhodes (AirAmerica) would make quite the team, eh?
Hmm...
Does everyone define for themselves what's right and wrong? If so, can't it be right for you and wrong for me with equal acceptability for both of us?
Or, is there a common morality, where right and wrong are commonly understood and applied? And if so, then who defines it?
To me, this is the real conundrum we're wrestling with all over the place -- relative vs. absolute morality.
I understand. In years past, it was 'immoral' for black people and white people to get married.
Too bad it was radio. Mary is so much prettier than a lot of her previous appearances and photos have portrayed her. She looks so much like her dad - but really a combo of both her parents - that it's delightful to listen to her and watch her at the same time.
I'm glad she is who she is.
