The best response to The Da Vinci Code -- besides derisive laughter -- is a boycott.

I am a conservative, practicing Catholic, and my wife and I plan to see the movie this weekend. My brother is a conservative Catholic priest, and he looks forward to seeing it. I enjoy fiction, in books and movies. That's what this is, as well as good, old fashioned entertainment. I suggest you stop taking life so seriously. Relax, it's, A MOVIE!! Everyone, see this movie!! It should be as much fun as the book!

If you are a practicing Catholic, why would you go see a movie that blasphemes our Lord?

It's a turkey, actually, about 80 percent of whose reviews are redolent with adjectives like "ponderous, pompous, tendentious, laughable." Even the liberal Minneapolis Star Tribune critic panned it.

I do enjoy life so much that I'll probably see a film I can giggle about this weekend: Over the Hedge. Its lack of pretension will make it far more palatable than a snore-fest like Da Vinci Code.

I'm a conservative, practicing Christian. And I'm not going anywhere near it. In case you haven't noticed, this thing has taken on a life of its own, FAR more than "just entertainment." You will of course do what you like, as is your right, but don't kid yourself that it's "just a movie." The book opens with a foreword that essentially says, "I've researched this to the ends of the Earth and all the principles are true."

In case you missed the stats in this and other articles, people are believing this crap. It's proselytizing and it's the kind that will land countless souls squarely in hell. Satan is thrilled with the movement and rest assured he and his minions have helped it along. Be sure to help him some more with your dollars.

Haven't read the book. Don't want to read the book.

Won't see the movie. Don't want to see the movie.

My choice of course, and I'm pretty darn happy with that choice.

Your choice is different, I'm glad your happy with that choice.

We read the book and plan to see the movie too. We are Christians and we recognize the book is fiction. People have gotten their panties in a wad over the suggestion that Jesus and Mary Magdalen were married and had a child. I don't find that thought so distressing but I was very upset a few years ago when someone was peddling the idea that Jesus and his Disciples were gay.

Would you read and watch Da Vinci Code Part II? Have Part II reveal that Judaism is a fraud. And that powerful Jews try to control history and go around murdering people to hide the truth. It can include fictional ideas from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Fact: The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is a real book. Fact: There are Jews in many positions of power. Fact:...

Don't worry, the book would be labeled fiction.

Sounds like a good book/movie to promote? I don't think so.
