President Bush and The War on Terror

Posted on 06/14/2006 8:46:54 PM PDT by NellieMae

I may not always agree with President Bush, but, then who do I always agree with? I believe that we have the right president for the right time. This country needs a man to lead us that is strong enough in his convictions to do what is necessary to protect our citizens from those whose life's ambition is to take our very lives away. I have grown very weary of the whiny attitudes of so many people complaining about high gas prices and such. People this is WAR. Have you forgotten what this war is about? Do you remember our president telling us at it's onset that it will be a long, hard war against terrorism? Well, he was right. People complain that we should have only gone to Afghanistan after Bin Laden. Should we just sit idly by and let monsters like Saddaam Hussein continue with their atrocities and take the chance that they will be nice to us? I appreciate the stand that President Bush has taken to continue the mission and not cut and run away. Wouldn't we look terribly weak and ineffective if we were to do so before the job is done. I really appreciate all of the American military personnel (and our allies) that has been so diligent in the pursuit of our enemies and in helping the people of Afghanistan and Iraq to rebuild their lives after being decimated by terrorist factions. The vast majority of our soldiers believe in the cause that they are fighting for, in fact, many have re-enlisted so that they can continue to help bring freedom to other human beings. Can you imagine how it makes a young soldier, fighting far from home, feel to hear about people complaining about the minor inconveniences that we are enduring. Sure, gas is high. I don't like it either. We should be grateful that we are not seeing gasoline and other necessities being rationed like it was during World War II. We should also be very thankful that this war is not being fought on our home soil like it is in Iraq. You know it could be if we give in and let terrorists have free reign. War has always meant sacrifice. Soldiers die, innocent people are killed, times are tough. It has been this way since the beginning of time. We should be very proud of and give all of our support to the brave men and women who are willing to sacrifice their lives to protect our country. Our President is committed to this war against terrorism. If it means going into Iran, so be it. If that does happen, people please don't whine and complain. It may be your right, but, it is beneath you as an American.

Thanks, I know. I just wish the whiners would realize that.

The whiners will never realize it. They hate Bush for the sake of hating him (they never complained about Clinton's bombing campaigns).

Bush is on a winning streak since the dog days of March-early May:

- Zarqarwi's in Hell
- Karl Rove not indicted
- Iraqi government coalescing
- Two judicial appointments confirmed
- UN frustrated by John Bolten
- NK is silenced
- Russia/China making desperate moves to counter the US
- Tony Snow has found his groove
- Ann Coulter shredding the liberals
- Haditha is unraveling on the MSM
- Dims remain clueless & desperate & disorganized

" UN frustrated by John Bolten "

That alone is worthy of a good day.
