Defiant Glitter loses sex crimes appeal

Shouting his defiance, the former rock star Gary Glitter was bundled away to a Vietnamese prison yesterday after losing his appeal against child obscenity convictions.

The singer, real name Paul Gadd, was convicted earlier this year of committing obscene acts against two 11-year-old girls and sentenced to three years in jail.

He appealed against both verdicts and his sentence, but the appeal court in Ho Chi Minh City dismissed his petition after a one-day hearing.

Both his victims were present for the proceedings, entering court with their faces masked, while Gadd, 62, wore the same black outfit he dressed in for his trial.

"The behaviour of the defendant is dangerous for society, especially towards children. He needs to be punished. We did not see enough evidence to reduce the penalty for the defendant," said the chairman of the three-judge panel, Truong Vinh Thuy.

Gadd erupted as police dragged him through the colonial-era building. "There's no justice here in Vietnam," he shouted. "They didn't listen to any defence at all. I'm completely innocent of the charge. There's just no evidence."

Asked if it was time he admitted he was a paedophile and needed treatment, he swore and yelled: "Get help for what? I didn't do anything."

Had he taken a different attitude and shown remorse he could have had his sentence reduced, a spokesman for the court said. Gadd, who could be released as early as November, will be deported as soon as he is freed.

I recall reading elsewhere that when Vietnam deports him, he will be sent to Great Britain, although I don't know if that's still an absolute certainty.

Hopefully our dear British Friends will keep an eye out and make his "homecoming" less than enjoyable.

This arrogant scumbag deserves to be run through one of Saddam's plastic shredding machines, as do all paedos.

GLITTER LOSES HIS SEX APPEAL!

Even though I'm a normal, healthy and unapologetically heterosexual male stoat, I would suggest that these pics from the Sun indicate that he lost his 'sex appeal' a very, very long time ago.  Hopefully he will be beaten to death by a gang of thugs or torn apart by wild dogs very soon after his release from prison in Vietnam..

EVIL Gary Glitter strikes a vile pose in his Speedos — just three weeks before being arrested for child abuse.

The photo emerged yesterday as the pop pervert lost a bid to win his freedom from a Vietnamese jail.

Paedophile Glitter, 62, was also pictured with two young girls at a sex and booze party.

The seedy bash was held at his flat in the resort of Vang Tau on October 29 last year. It was there that he repeatedly raped and molested Tran Thi Druc Dien, 11, and Tran Thi Tha Nguyem, 12.

One party guest recalled: “Glitter got extremely drunk on red wine and beer. He was posing around in slinky trunks like he was a male model, not the bald and flabby old man he is.

“At one point he larked about with a bowl of shrimps in front of his crotch. He then placed one shrimp inside his trunks, calling it his ‘prawn cocktail’. He tried to get a girl to take it with her teeth but she refused.

“He regularly used to throw these parties, inviting local girls.

“Most were prostitutes and inevitably the night ended in an orgy.”

Glitter, real name Paul Gadd, was virtually laughed out of court when he appealed against the three-year prison sentence handed out in March.

Gaunt from weight loss, the 1970s glam rocker bragged: “I’m going to be released” as he arrived at the court in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon.

His lawyer had promised “new evidence” — but a panel of three judges upheld the sentence.

Glitter left ranting: “I’m innocent. There’s no justice in Vietnam.”

He did time in Britain in 1999 over internet child porn — and faces fresh porn inquiries on his eventual return from Vietnam.

When a country deports someone, they're sent to a country of which the deportee is a citizen.
