Italy's lineup oh vey. I don't know how the US can do it.
I felt Ghana had a good shot because of some key players out for Czechs.

Italy is getting their players back from injury.

Ugh.

The American team was pulled out of their luxury hotel and have been training at a US military base.

LOL!! I wonder what fate awaits them if they lose to Italy.

Won't happen, though. I have high hopes for the next game. Especially after watching the underdog, Ghana, hammer the Czechs.

Good luck, USA!!

13 to 1 to bet the Aussies beating Brazil? Better odds than I saw.

Predicting an Aussie win is one thing, betting it another.

I don't know of anyone else who bet on Ghana to win today.
I feel happy. :)

Great, Great pictures. Thank you.

Prediction: US 2, Italy 1. One of the greatest games of all time.

ABC just flashed the starting lineup. Good news: no DaWorthless Beasley. Bad news: no Eddie Johnson.

A prophet is never appreciated in his own country. "I didn't know "Baghdad Bob" moved to Berlin and became a Freeper." Quote to you in response to saying Ghana would win.

What idiot compared anyone to Baghdad Bob? ;)

Credit for calling that shot. Actually, though, looking over BF's scenario the USA only needs to tie today if Italy and the USA both win their last match in group play.

Ghana opened the door for us. We need at least a tie today. A loss and while we won't be out mathematically, we'll be so far behind on GD that it will be over for us.

It's odd to see people dressed in American regalia when usually they're rooting for specific professional sports franchises here.

I like it!

Hopefully, you'll have more reason to celebrate in about two hours time.

I have to admit though, that I like the Italians, but for this one I am with the US.

I have to admit I'd be thrilled with a draw. Just so the US doesn't give up a goal in injury time.

Time for hope is over. Here's the flags coming out.
Italy is so strong, it's scary.

Claudio Reyna leads the US out in the most important game of his career.

Sometimes getting injured players back can backfire, as they need to work themselves back into playing shape, it might disrupt the chemustry of the team.

Hopefully we can play with the muster that we played Germany in 2002, with just a little more luck this time.

Not to degrade but the Italian National Anthum sound like the beginning of a circus. Bring on the clowns.

You can't be disruptive when you are fielding your starting team.
Zambrotto is an asset. It makes Italy even stronger in the back.

Eddie Johnson where art thou?
Help, help we need speed to get behind the Italy defense.
