Hellmuth's game is technically sound. However, the guy's game is based on the fact that luck and low percentages never enter into his decision making process.

He usually never gets all his money into the pot with the worst hand. However, he acts like its impossible for him to lose if he does. He acts as if there aren't any odds involved. Memo to Phil: Yes, this actually is gambling!

More often than not, if you play the way he does, you will win. He has a crapload of tournament titles and WSOP bracelets which confirm that. But you do set yourself up for some crushing defeats. You have to have the kind of mental toughness to be able to shake your head, say "it's poker," and move on. Phil doesn't do that. Its a good thing he's married to a psychiatrist, he needs one 24/7.
