EUREKA, Mont. - A man who committed suicide at a party also killed a 16-year-old girl when the bullet traveled through his head and struck her in the chest, authorities said.
Jacob R. Lee, 19, and Lorena Mocko, 16, were found shot to death at around 1 a.m. Saturday, Lincoln County authorities said.
Lee shot himself and the bullet passed through him and fatally struck Mocko, Lincoln County Sheriff Daryl Anderson said Tuesday.
"It was just a total freak thing," said Jeri Mitchell, a friend of Mocko's mother.
Mocko, who lived across the border Canadian border in Fernie, British Columbia, was in town visiting her father and a boyfriend when she was shot, Mitchell said.
Sheesh! If you're going to off yourself, go somewhere and do it where nobody else will get hurt, for Pete's sake!
Doesn't sound like the party was a success.
It's my party, and I'll die if I want to.
Talk about having feces for brains....
I guess the horse he rode in on is in big trouble now.
That's why you use hollowpoints.
Moral to the story: Always be aware of anyone holding a loaded gun in a room, even if it isn't pointed at you.
Needless to say but most of our 16-year old daughters would not be at a party at 1 in the morning. Too bad she had to die for another's stupidity.
Also note: all guns are loaded by definition.
One goes up and the other goes down
Spinning wheel, got to go round.
How horrible. The bastard abandons his loved ones, and takes one with him on the way out.
Very, very sad indeed.
I can't believe some of the posts I'm reading on this thread either.
Sickening.
How many 16-yo daughters do you have?
Oh, *snap*
ping
Lol, yeah right!
He certainly wasn't the life of the party.
I'm on my second 16-yr old, she and her sister are/were *never* out of the house past 11pm.
